The Parent Team Vision

To normalise parent education so all parents learn positive parenting skills that they practice throughout their parenting journey.

To help as many parents as possible to parent in a thoughtful and consistent manner that enables their children to develop the qualities, habits, and relationships that they need to thrive.

To create a central resource for the best quality parenting advice and provide access to a range of experts on parenting-related topics.

Meet The Team

Jenny, Juliet, Ann and Victoria have been teaching positive parenting skills to hundreds of families over the last decade. We each took the accredited Skills Course and Training programme with Melissa Hood at the Parent Practice. Melissa was an early advocate of the power of parent education to transform family life and is author of 'Real Parenting for Real Kids'

And each of us is a parent – the perfect opportunity to walk the talk!

Between us, we have 9 children ranging from 10-20 years old, so we have first-hand experience of many typical, and some less typical, childhood challenges including countless school exams, neurodiversity, anxiety and school refusal, sibling rivalry, homework battles, friendship issues, and much more!

After studying psychology at university, focussing on child development, I worked in finance in London and Hong Kong. As I started to raise my family, having been an intense and persistent child myself, I wanted to learn positive ways to help my four children strengthen their emotional regulation. I have a particular interest in the neuroscience underpinning brain development and how this affects behaviour. ...Read Jenny's story

After working in corporate communications at JP Morgan, I expected having children would be a change of pace, but not in the way it was! When I learned more about their needs and discovered the most effective ways to respond, it made such a difference to our family that I have been teaching other parents to learn positive parenting skills since 2008. ...Read Juliet's story

After working in corporate leadership and culture change, I was fast forwarded into motherhood 12 weeks ahead of schedule. I quickly realised how parental connection and life experiences were influencing my daughter’s development. Taking a positive parenting course showed me how to parent in an empathetic and effective way, and I’ve been supporting other families to do the same since 2009....Read Ann's story

The Girls & Friendships Workshop was thought provoking, inspiring and also encouraging. Jenny is fantastic!

- Suzanne, mum of two

A wonderfully reassuring workshop led sensitively by the knowledgeable Juliet. Lots of relevant, practical tips to help parents understand anxiety from their child’s perspective and to support them. We all left with a plethora of resources, strategies, and a new-found confidence that we can help our children to understand and manage their feelings. Great value for money!

- Christine, mum of two

Ann has great insights to share. The principles she teaches can be implemented immediately and remarkable changes in your relationship with your children are felt straight away. If you have the opportunity to work with Ann, grab it with both hands!

- Jo, mum of one

Victoria, we have made such progress after the first class. The girls have responded remarkably well to Descriptive Praise and have been noticeably more polite and helpful. They brought me breakfast in bed and have been spontaneously hugging me too. Can’t wait to learn more!
